Pregnancy can cause a range of emotions as your body goes through many changes, then after birth it can change all over with a new born to care for. We can help you understand those emotions and changes better. Our Psychologist is an expert in helping women after they have given birth in the privacy of her office.

RaisingMOM provides individual psychological counseling services with Dr. Betsy Schur Levy. These services are designed to offer more in depth therapeutic opportunities for mothers experiencing issues regarding a variety of topics related to their maternal role.

Dr. Levy is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been in private practice in New York City for over 20 years.

Dr. Levy received her Ph.D. from Columbia University and her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. While Dr. Levy’s private practice deals with patients of all ages and psychological needs, she has had a wealth of experience with new and expectant mothers, both who have had traditional pregnancies as well as those who have experienced the need for fertility procedures of various kinds. Dr. Levy also has a known expertise in child development and clinical work with very young and school age children and is currently employed as the consulting psychologist at the 92nd Street Y Nursery School. She has a particular interest in helping new mothers adjust to, process and master the demanding and most rewarding phases of motherhood.
